Attractions Nevada County Gold on-line The official Nevada County Tourism Pages on the Net Bridgeport Historic State Park Built in 1862, Bridgeport is the longest single span covered bridge in the country. It is 251 feet and one of just 14 covered bridges in the state. It was constructed from local Douglas fir on granite blocks using a unique type of construction called the Warren Truss with an auxiliary Burr arch.
